This week's selection was chosen by Denise of Chez Us. I really adore yeasty breads and rolls and cakes. And I was excited to get to make the Brioche Plum Tart because the last time I made brioche dough I did not have my Kitchen Aid mixer and I had to make it by hand. It was worth it but I knew it would be so much easier with a stand mixer. Putting the dough together was super simple, the rising wasn't difficult, I just had to make sure I was staying put for 2+ hours. Generally speaking the recipe wasn't hard it just took a lot of time but not actual doing stuff time just waiting time. I left the dough in the fridge overnight and then put the tart together the next day. I used little Byron Gold plums from Jones Orchard I bought at the Memphis Farmer's Market. I also bought a jar of plum jelly from them to use in the tart. For the topping instead of walnuts/almonds I used pecans because I have an abundance of them in the pantry for some reason.

Your tart looks beautiful!
Looks delicious. Great photos! The second time I made it I used only chocolate chips and walnuts. That worked well too.
I think it's gorgeous :) Yours came out as dark as mine, I even pulled it out of the oven early and then wondered if I should have. But all was well! I want to try this again too. I did cherries and Nutella on one side and that was very tasty!
Your Brioche Plum Tart looks delicious! I've never heard of Byron Gold plums, they look so small! Did you use 14 plums?
I'd like to try this one again for a better result too, I just haven't decided which fruit to try it with!
Your tart looks really nice. I used apricots and almonds -- highly recommended!
That looks great. Pecans. Much better than almonds.
This looks great! Love the KitchenAid mixer. Love it.
